Demeter

Another piece I did fot an art exchange at the german art community Animexx!

This time the theme of the exchange was 'mythology'. My exchange partner wished for the godess Demeter. Demeter is the goddess of the harvest and is often depicted with grains or poppies. As you can see, I neither succeeded at drawing grain and poopies...oh well. At least there's some kind of...strawish grass in the background.
And she has cornflowers and poppies in her headband!

It was quite challenging to draw this much detail, but it was well worth it. I learned to reference EVERYTHING because I can't even draw an apple without it.


Also: A more 'voluptous' woman', as the receiver of this image wished for. I hope I succeeded in creating a curvy woman!
